GET DOWN
Try placing the camera on the grass, set the timer and get down low with the kids. With the camera close to the ground, you'll get a fun view of the crisp blades of grass in front of the family. Hopefully you'll have bright blue skies to contrast the green of the grass. Don't forget to plan the kids clothes and make sure they don't clash..

It's spring and everything is in bloom, so look up and get creative with some blooming nature shots. Remember not to point the camera directly at the sun, instead try standing in the shade of the tree, to block the sunlight. Take lots of shots and experiment with different settings on your camera. If you love the results they will make a great canvas for an empty wall in your home.

Now the kids are back outside, take some candid shots of them playing in the garden or at the park. For a professional looking landscape photo try to frame the shot with two thirds land and one third sky or vice versa. Cutting the image half way with the horizon line in the middle detracts from the fun in the photo.
